Warranty Information

At tradie-tools.com, we only stock professional-grade gear built to withstand the toughest Australian conditions. However, we know that even the best tools can occasionally run into issues.

We are committed to getting you back on the job as quickly as possible.

1. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

2. Manufacturer’s Warranty

In addition to your rights under the ACL, almost every power tool and cordless kit we sell is covered by a Manufacturer’s Warranty.

  • Coverage: These warranties typically cover defects in materials or workmanship.
  • Duration: Most professional brands offer a standard 1-year or 2-year warranty, which can often be extended to 3 or 5 years if you register the tool online with the brand within 30 days of purchase.
  • Exclusions: Warranties generally do not cover "fair wear and tear," accidental damage, misuse, or tools that have been opened or repaired by unauthorised persons.
3. How to Make a Claim

If your tool develops a fault, please follow these steps:

Step A: Check for Online Registration If you registered your tool for an extended warranty with the manufacturer (e.g., Milwaukee, Makita, DeWalt, or Bosch), it is often fastest to contact their local service centre directly.

Step B: Contact Our Team If you prefer us to handle the process, please email us at {[email protected]} with the following details:

  • Your Order Number.
  • The Serial Number of the tool.
  • A brief description (or photo/video) of the fault.

Step C: Assessment Once we receive your request, we will provide instructions on how to send the item to an authorised service centre. Please note that tools must be assessed by a qualified technician before a warranty claim can be approved.

4. Professional Repair Network

To minimise your downtime, we work with a nationwide network of authorised repair agents. In many cases, we can direct you to a local drop-off point in your capital city or regional hub to avoid the time and cost of shipping the tool back to our main warehouse.
